TULSA VOTES 2024
Served as Creative Director, Exhibition Designer, and Researcher for an exhibit about voter education for the Center for Public Secrets in Tulsa, OK.
While designing, it was crucial to keep all elements nonpartisan. Using a screenprint effect on candidate photos allows every candidate to be given an equal treatment. Candidate photos appear printed from a distance then convert into dots the closer one gets to the candidate bios, allowing visitors to focus on reading the candidate bios.
GOLDSMITH / SMITH
Proposed exhibit for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH that tells the story of the decades long friendship between creative Patti Smith and photographer Lynn Goldsmith.
First image contains process sketches and inspirations.
SCENTED MEMORIES
Interactive pop-up to be installed in a parking lot where visitors would be asked to select a test tube containing the scent and memory of a stranger.
I LOVE MY DOG
Riso printed zine containing songs to listen to with your dog.
Initial copies came with a pinback button as well as a surprise poster screenprinted on the underside, revealed when you unfolded the zine.
WALL / FLOWER
Screenprinted wallpaper tiles containing photos of and by my mom. Created with the goal of turning something static (a photograph) into something dynamic to occupy a personal space.
First image shows the original photos before they were converted for screenprinting.
ARCHITECTURE AS SCULPTURE
Formed steel beams have been regularly spaced to create bound and unbound spaces within this occupiable object space.
Visitors would be asked to interact with the objects/sculptures by looking through the spaces left between beams and walking in, out, and around the forms themselves.
CONNECTIVITY THROUGH OVERLAP
Proposed community art center in Chicago,
IL. Designed with the area’s historic New Bauhaus movement ideology in mind, and creating a sense of community through a series of overlaps.
Overlaps serve as gathering spaces on every floor. They connect all of the studios. Transparent double height spaces connect visitors to spaces below. The form of the building creates overlapping areas of exterior space.
INHABITING THE WALL
Reading nook designed for a proposed library to face North on E Center St in Fayetteville, AR.
The first slide contains study models where I began exploring configurations for the nook. The second slide contains a section perspective drawing and final model photos, showing the final configuration. It was designed to accommodate the human body and provide natural comfort for long-term reading.
SHAPE AND SHADOW
Documented shapes created by natural shade and shadow. One photo was then selected to turn into a tonal drawing.
The drawing was divided into 2” segments. This forced me to slow down and focus on one piece of the image at a time, learning how to tackle a large project in manageable chunks.
